I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Philosophy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, working on the phenomenology of grief. I received my PhD in Philosophy from the University of York in 2024. My thesis, A Phenomenological Study of Interpersonal Relationships in Experiences of Depression, examined how depression transforms interpersonal experience and our ways of relating to others. I also hold an MA in Philosophy and a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from Durham University, as well as an LLB from the University of Cyprus.
I am also a Section Editor at Open Philosophy (De Gruyter), working across the journal’s sections in Philosophy of Medicine, Philosophy of Mind, Phenomenology and Existentialism. In 2026, I was a DIAS Visiting Junior Researcher in Applied Phenomenology at the University of Southern Denmark.
Teaching has been an important part of my academic work. I have taught at the universities of York, Leeds, Cyprus, and Nicosia and have also designed and taught a range of philosophy courses for adult learners. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and have been awarded the University of York Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Award.
In my spare time, I enjoy photography and hiking.
